The winter of 2021 brought with it the worst storms that we have seen in over 50 years. Storm Arwen brought wind speeds of up to 110mph which caused mass destruction across the North East of Scotland.
JS Tree Services were tasked with tidying up a number of dangerous and challenging trees and ensuring that they were safe.
From a large mature Sycamore tree leaning on a house roof, to rows of Sitka spruce which had blown over like matchsticks, every job was different and came with its own challenges. Careful planning and risk assessment has been vital.
We were lucky to have calmer conditions when we were carrying out the tidy up mission but special recognition should go out to SSE and the utility workers who were out in the thick of it, making electric lines safe and connecting thousands of people with power under very challenging circumstances.
A lot of homeowners are understandably concerned about the condition of their trees after the storm and we are continuing to inspect trees on a regular basis as a result. If you have a concern about any of your trees then please feel free to get in contact.
Although it will take a considerable amount of time for the area to regenerate, JS Tree Services are doing our bit to plant new trees to replace those that came down in the storm. Give us a call on
01467 532 021 if you require any tree planting.
